Relay for Life 2018
On June 8th, 2018, the Canadian Cancer Society held its 11th annual Relay for Life in Pierrefonds, the purpose of the event is to walk is to vanquish cancer by raising funds to support cancer research.
A Relay for Life is a fundraising event packed with different activities for the participating teams. All night long, teams walk around a track or reserved lane, all as one to celebrate the presence of cancer survivors, pay their respects to their lost loved ones who were taken by cancer and to raise money to fight all types of cancer.
The Pierrefonds Dental Center is proud to have participated for the second year in a row as Team Going Miles for Smiles. All year long, we organized fundraisers and were able to collect a generous donation of $ 5 673,10 for the cause. We are proud to say that we came in 3rd in this event, for the largest amount raise.
In hopes to share their knowledge and expertise with the public, our dentist’s Dr Jean-Pierre Bedirian, Dr Spiro Kanatselis, Dr Levon Kichian et Dr Sevag Donabet graciously offered a free oral cancer screening at our clinic’s kiosk.
The Relay for Life is held each year all over Canada. If you are interested in learning more about the event or becoming a participate in a walk, please visit convio.cancer.ca
